Living in Ohio, January’s are generally cold, dark and dreary It doesn’t get light out until about 8:00 in the morning the sun disappears again at around 5 in the afternoon. If we are lucky, the temperature highs are around 30 (today we are having a heat wave…45 degrees!!!) and cloudy days are all too common. Unless you are into winter sports or enjoy turning into a human icicle, there really isn’t a whole lot to do. I, for one, am not into winter sports (or being cold) Being a klutz as it is, trying them out could only end in me in a heap on the ground with possible broken bones.
Lately, my husband and I have been binge watching Parenthood on Netflix. These colder months have also given me the change to finish up some writings of my own, try out some new recipes and start reading some books that I had downloaded on the Kindle that I kept forgetting to charge.
So even though there isn’t much to do outside, there is plenty to find to do inside. Are we looking forward to spring? Most definitely! But until then, we will continue to watch our shows on Netflix, I will read, write and bake and we might even attempt to start the Insanity workout program that has been gathering dust since the last time we tried it out (and lasted 2 weeks.) The colder weather also makes me stiff, so I use supplements to help with the achiness.
